The Filipino tradition of bringing home gifts or souvenirs for family and friends after a trip or arrival from a distant place.

A game set in the Philippines about a girl returning home to her estranged family in the province for the first time after graduating college. 

After a falling-out with her family, Alyanna moves out from her home to a college dorm. Now that she's graduated, it is time for her to head back and mend broken ties. Help her decide what to bring home in her small luggage, and discover the nuances behind a "pasalubong".

Message from the Developer:

Homesick is my first earnest attempt at making a full game by myself. The twist at the end was supposed to be a scene where Alice finally makes it home but is greeted with silent stares from her family. She pulls out all the "pasalubong" she brought until she breaks down, and the family who missed her so much just goes straight for a hug (the mother goes first obviously). You find out that yourself is enough of a "pasalubong" for people who love you dearly, yada yada.

The game jam this was supposed to be for is 3 days long, and I started on the 2nd day. Due to personal reasons, I no longer have time to work on this XD. I was way too ambitious for what I wanted to do, and too optimistic for thinking I could do it within the given time limit, so I basically gave up. That being said, I'm proud of what I've learned and what little I've made especially for this being a test-the-waters kind of game. Apologies to the judges and my fellow contestants who have to play and review my game. Good luck to you!
